The annual TESHEP summer school brings together European students with the basic aim of teaching them various aspects of high-energy physics, mainly focusing on experimental particle physics.
General lectures are followed by seminars. Some of the seminars detail the general lectures while other focus on results at the forefront of research. The school is enriched by the presentations from all the students on their working subjects prepared in advance and further worked on with the help of the professors and fellow students in small dedicated discussion groups, before presenting results to the audience.
The target audience is the students at the end of the Master studies or at the first years of their PhD thesis, with the aim of reinforcing and encouraging the East-West Europe scientific and pedagogical links.
The previous summer schools took place in Mukachevo (Ukraine), Buymerovka (Ukraine), Zakopane (Poland), Izvorani (Romania), Alushta (Ukraine), Petnica (Serbia), Kharkov region (Ukraine), Basivka (Ukraine), Morsko (Poland), Yaremche (Ukraine), Cerklje na Gorenjskem (Slovenia), Poltava (Ukraine), Svityaz (Ukraine) and Bezmiechowa Górna (Poland).
